Boyd Fugal

My Grandpa is gone. One of the greatest men I have ever and will ever know has passed from this life.

I have so many feelings that I need to get out. It is Monday morning. He passed away early Saturday morning at his home. I have cried three times this morning already. I am not sure why I am so emotional about this. But I am.

It may be that I have not lost a single grandparent. This is my first. I have been so blessed to have all four of my grandparents for nearly 33 years of my life. What a blessing they are to me and how grateful I am to my Heavenly Father for letting me have these angels in my life. Maybe it is the example he has been to me of what a husband should be. He has been such a sweet man in my grandma Venice life. They are buddies. They do everything together and don't do anything without thinking about the other. They care so deeply for each other. I know it was hard for my grandpa to leave his eternal companion here while he moved on. How I worry about my grandma! All she knows is taking care of Boyd and being a wife to him. She has been so selfless in him. She has supported him through years of service to this country and service to Heavenly Father. She had nine children and had to sit through so many sacrament meetings alone while he served as Stake President and Bishop. Their last calling was Stake Patriarch. What a joy that must have been for both of them to serve together!
